Conceived as a home for sportspeople, the Reina Sofía Centre is located within the Cala Nova Sailing Club, in a cove found on the border of Palma, very near the Maricel Hotel.

The fact that there should be a difference in level of about six metres between the access street and the internal level of the premises is solved by means of two common area storeys that adopt a variable geometry, creating a new topography. Over this, the building is resolved with a block that is parallel to the street, practically blind to this and fully open to the sea, creating a staggered façade, which results from the orientation given the rooms in the floor plan
