The present project develops the construction of a detached single-family dwelling with a swimming pool, situated on Palma Beach, in the residential area of Sometimes, which lies within the municipal area of Palma de Mallorca.

The program to be carried out is that of a permanent dwelling for a family with two children.

The generous dimensions of the plot and its orientation constitute the starting point for the premises of the project. It is thus that the project was conceived as a play of volumes that are placed in accordance with their use, creating a succession of interior and exterior spaces.

The volume of the night area was conceived at two levels, very distinctively placed on one of the partitions of the site in order to retain the privacy of the house and serving as an agglutinating element on which the other volumes the project is composed of are based. Its outer finishing is stonier in appearance, more closed in on itself, as we are dealing here with more private spaces.

In contrast, the day area is arranged in accordance with two single-storey elements whose position generates various interior and exterior spaces that relate to one another. It conveys a much lighter image, with large glass picture windows which, protected by blinds with adjustable slats, optimise the use of the house’s interior and exterior spaces.
